New Work

So I've been wanting to do something like this in a while. When I'm making a drawing in ink I have found myself testing brush strokes on separate pieces of paper as to not disturb the contents of the drawing. These new works are about what happens outside that controlled space, or at least that space where I have specific intentions for the line. Here i have been thinking less about how much line resembles, describes a contour, or falls into perspective but line in it's absolute uncertainty. I can't help but to think of zen meditation while making these drawings, but I'm shaking so much I feel like I'm in the middle of a mosh pit. I'm taking small steps but have big ideas for this in the future. As they progress you'll see what I mean. For now they are the bastard son of a good drawing. What happens when you have no money in your bank account, your now a possibility.

Long time no post

Yes, been a while since i have last made an up date here. So for those of you that check back every now and again, this is for you. Recently began working on concept sketches for a clay animation with local Philadelphia based interactive web, film, and design company Brolik Productions. I can't show much of what were working on right now but a snippet or piece. You'll just have to wait it out till the press package and teaser come into full production. Aside from that, I recently took part in the Sketchbook Project which was brought to life by ArtHouse. I look forward to seeing the show when it makes it's way in Philadelphia. Please come out and enjoy the hundreds of sketchbooks created by individuals all over the U.S. A fellow artist and good Friend Dorothy Shultz has also taken part in the sketch book project. She has a great sense of humor with her witty line work. Please enjoy the following images at your leisure, or if your a mountian climber on the top of some great summit!
